Ted and His Bird Friends®
Ted and His Bird Friends® is a bright and inspirational cartoon series I love to share.
The series was created in 2016 during preparation for a solo show. Working on a group of new pieces, I added a fun little yellow bird, and decided to call him Ted. It was purely a one-time thing, so I thought. At the show, I listened to strangers say, I only want the piece with the bird, and so Ted was a hit. More of his friends started showing up, including the very popular Shari, a little sweet and very pink bird. Ted roams around, having adventures of all sorts and meeting new friends.
I frequently get special request for Ted and Shari and love making them for my followers. Who knows what Ted will be up to next!
"Ted and His Bird Friends®" is a whimsical and amusing series featuring a sweet little innocent bird and his bird friends. They really love flowers and the simple everyday things we sometimes miss. My goal with these pieces is to add happiness and a little fun to our crazy world.

Golden Neutrals - New Series
Working in a series keeps my brain focused. There are usually 3 - 5 pieces in process in my studio and I bounce around with ideas for each. I also have a very short attention span and hate waiting for paint to dry. When several pieces are created at the same time, I feel they are more cohesive. Feelings do affect how you paint, and I believe your energy comes through in your art.
My portfolio consists of abstract works and of course, the Ted and His Bird Friends® series. These are two very different mind sets and I usually work on them in groups devoting a specific timeframe to each.
The golden neutrals series is what I would consider more serious, and hopefully, elegant home decor. Working in a few colors, gold, bronze, blue, and adding black and white, I can create a broad palette that works beautifully together. Creating rich shimmer tones and patinas, give the pieces an antiqued look. See more of my new collection in the Golden Neutrals section of my shop.
